"Dear Audrey, I did get my
keepsake and it is absolutely beautiful! It is already hanging above
my dresser. A thank you to you and everyone who worked on
making it so wonderful"

1.What
is freeze drying? Freeze
drying your flowers is the process of removing water from the flowers while
they are frozen within a
freeze drying machine. Moisture is slowly removed from the frozen flowers
while they are under vacuum. Science prefers the name sublimation while the
process is commonly referred to as freeze-drying.
Your design is hand crafted as a
commissioned piece of artwork.
We pre-treat and re-hydrate your flowers
when we receive them. Do not use re-hydration sprays! They act as a
barrier to keep moisture in your flowers from escaping during freeze
drying. Flowers should be clean for superior drying results.
All bouquets are digitally photographed
for design accuracy.
All framed flowers are color enhanced and
post-treated with a thin, transparent coating to seal and protect them.
With Mountain View Freeze
Dry all custom frames have Tru-View 99% UV light filtering glass.
(note: UV acrylic is used on ovals)
Preservation dry packs are
employed within the frame envelope to absorb ambient air humidity when
your flowers are sealed.
Dehydration Agent: We
have never had an insect in our freeze dried floral
preservation. Even so we use a small amount of dehydration
agent within the frame envelope.
Mountain View Freeze Dry
custom floral frames are fully sealed from outside
air.
Mountain View Freeze
Dry received training by a conservator from the National Gallery of Art
from Washington DC. to learn specific museum conservators techniques for
sealing framed flowers.
All
frame seams have a sealant applied from the inside frame rabbet. Frames
are backed with Archival vapor proof backing and archival aluminum
barrier tape seals the backing*
With our company your frame is well sealed and protected against UV
light rays, outside air, insects, and humidity.
